In the 1970s & 80s the Cove (then the Fairlight Hotel) hosted a successful folk club called the Hayloft. It attracted some of the top folk musicians of the day; Shirley Collins, John Kirkpatrick, Martin Carthy , Richard Digence, Dave Swarbrick and many many more. Last year we brought back two of the original performers to celebrate the once vibrant club; Martyn Wyndham-Read and Paul Downs and the evenings were a great success. Continuing this theme we have again brought back another musician, fiddle player Gary Blakeley who will be playing with his great friend Bear Lucas. Both can be seen playing regularly around Hastings. Gary is a part of the celebrated band Feast of Fiddles.
