You can watch all along the route but these are the best viewing places.
Public viewing locations and times: (timings are approximate)
10:45am – A259 between Icklesham and Winchesea at the lay by
11:15am – Pett Level Beach
12:15pm – Battery Hill, Fairlight
12:30pm – Winchelsea Road, Ore, Near Pett Junction
Start and finish location: Maxfield Lane, Three Oaks (Behind the pub) TN35 4NH
– Meet from 9:30am
– Leave Three Oaks, turn left along Butchers Lane
– At the junction turn left onto the A259 towards Icklesham
– Follow the road through Icklesham and Winchelsea
– Turn right onto Sea Road towards Winchelsea Beach; Stop for a 45 minute break at Pett Level Beach
– After the break, continue along the coast road towards Fairlight taking the Pett Level road
– Continue up Battery Hill through Fairlight
– At the top of the hill before going to Ore turn right into Martineau Lane
– At the next junction, turn right onto Winchelsea Road and past the Beefeater pub
– Continue through Guertling Green until you reach Butchers Lane on the left.
– Turn into Butchers Lane and take the road back to the starting place
