East Malling Railway Station serves the village of East Malling in Kent. This station, managed by Southeastern, features two platforms and is situated 57.6 km from London Victoria. It was originally opened as East Malling Halt in 1913 and has undergone several renovations, including a rebuild in concrete in the late 1950s and platform extensions in the late 1980s to accommodate 8-car trains.
The station does not have a ticket office; however, a PERTIS machine for purchasing ‘permit to travel’ tickets is available at the base of the staircase leading to the platforms. The up platform, previously housing a wooden ticket office, now offers a sheltered area, while the down platform includes a metal shelter. Access to the platforms is via steps, as there are no lifts available.
East Malling Railway Station provides an hourly off-peak service to London Victoria and Ashford International, with additional services during peak hours. All trains are operated by Southeastern using Class 375 and 377 EMUs.
