London Road (Brighton) railway station, located in the Round Hill area, is a key stop on the East Coastway Line, managed by Southern Railways. Opened on 1 October 1877, the station features a design reminiscent of other London, Brighton and South Coast Railway stations from that era, styled after a Tuscan villa. Despite its name, the station is not situated directly on London Road but is nearby, approximately 370 meters to the southwest.
The station underwent significant refurbishment towards the end of 2004, enhancing its facilities while maintaining its historical character. It also houses the Brighton Model Railway Club, a feature since 1971. Southern Railways operates all services at this station, providing frequent connections including three trains per hour (tph) to Brighton, two tph to Seaford, and one tph to Eastbourne, with additional services during peak times. This makes London Road (Brighton) an important hub for local commuters and travellers in the region.
