Hi I am Nigel Godden. Going backwards I have traced my family from Ashington in West Sussex to Rottingdean in East Sussex where the family were farmers. There is a school of thought that the Ashington Goddens were originally from Beckley Northiam area in the 1700’s. Does anyone know of some Goddens moving or marrying into the Ashington Goddens?
