Cooksbridge Railway Station is a key transport facility serving the village of Cooksbridge in East Sussex. The station, which originally opened in 1847, features two platforms and operates with modern Class 377 EMUs provided by Southern.
The station offers an hourly service to London Victoria via Gatwick Airport and to Eastbourne, with additional services extending to Ore via Hastings on Sundays. This regular service includes both weekday and weekend operations, a significant enhancement from the previously limited schedule that only included weekdays.
Cooksbridge Railway Station is unstaffed, but it is equipped with a PERTIS ticket machine on each platform to facilitate travel. Recent improvements include the extension of Platform 1 to accommodate longer trains, enhancing the station’s capacity and service efficiency.
