Crowhurst in East Sussex Village Guide

Old Residents

Can anybody put me in touch with any members of the Wood Family? There was Charlie and Ernie. They lived at Station Cottages / Terrace. Their Father was also Charles, he was my great uncle and he worked on Crowhurst Station.

My Maternal Grandmother was a ‘Crowhurst’ Annie Olive born in Fulham. I have been told that the Crowhurst name comes from the village either Sussex or near East Grinstead. Originates from Roger de Crowhurst and or Rupert de Crowhurst

Ernie Wood lived at 4 station cottages and died many years ago. I lived at number 2 until 1960.
