Doleham Railway Station is a small, single-platform station located in East Sussex on the Marshlink line. Managed by Southern, it primarily serves the local area, which includes only a few houses. The station originally opened on 1 July 1907 as Guestling Halt, was renamed Doleham Halt in 1909, and later simply Doleham in 1969. Historically, it had two platforms, but since 1979, all trains use what was formerly the “up” platform.
Today, Doleham is noted for its very limited train service, making it the least used station in Sussex. On weekdays, there are a total of eight trains, with three southbound towards Eastbourne and five northbound, including services to Ashford International and Hastings. Weekend services are even more reduced, with only two trains per day in each direction. This limited accessibility contributes to its low usage, with an approximate daily passenger count of eight pre-COVID.
