Moulsecoomb Railway Station

Moulsecoomb Railway Station, located near the Moulsecoomb campus of the University of Brighton, serves the suburbs of Moulsecoomb and Hollingdean. Managed by Southern, the station sits on the East Coastway Line, approximately 2.9 km from Brighton. It features two platforms, each with separate entrances and connected by a footbridge that also serves as a public right of way. The station, which opened in May 1980, was the first new station on the Southern Region since the Beeching Axe. It is equipped to handle a variety of train services provided by Southern, including multiple trains per hour to Brighton, Seaford, and Eastbourne, with additional services during peak hours. The station’s design accommodates efficient passenger flow and accessibility, making it a vital transport link within the area.
