Hastings and St Leonards Sailing Club is a vibrant hub for dinghy sailing enthusiasts, offering a comprehensive programme of racing and social events. The club operates from the end of March to mid-December, primarily hosting races on Sundays, with additional activities during the summer on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Members can participate in races with the club’s current fleets, which include Laser, general handicap, and catamaran fleets.
As a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) approved training establishment, the club provides a range of sailing courses from beginner to advanced levels, alongside a youth section that follows the RYA youth training scheme. The facilities, nestled under the promenade on the seafront, feature a clubhouse and boathouse, creating a welcoming environment for both new and experienced sailors.
The club prides itself on being member-run, with various volunteering opportunities available to support its operations.
