‘Planting Seeds in the Dark Earth’ New Moon Circle

A ritual gathering to mark the last new moon before Imbolc, the first spring festival in the Celtic calendar. In the midst of the frenetic new year hype, here is a space for pause, reflection and gentle intention setting in community. Let’s explore how working with lunar and seasonal cycles can help us find a more natural and sustainable pace.
The word Imbolc is thought to mean ‘in the belly’, in reference to the start of the lambing season when the bellies of ewes would be starting to swell. If we look to nature, we notice that she is still moving slowly. The land lies fallow but pregnant with the seeds of spring. We are still residing in the season of rest, renewal and dreaming. This circle offers the chance to contemplate what seeds you might like to nurture for the year ahead.
You can expect a blend of guided meditation, poetry, seasonal ritual and a generous amount of time allocated to open sharing. Please come with open hearts and listening ears. Worried that you might not feel comfortable sharing? No problem, you don’t have to. Sitting in circle is about practising deep listening and catching the stories of our circle companions as much as it is about having our own voices heard.
Tickets are offered on a sliding scale.
I encourage you to bring along anything you need to be as comfortable as possible (we will be sitting on the floor). There will be rugs to sit on, some cushions provided and heaters on, but please bring along your own blanket and cushion if possible.
Please note, this is not a women’s circle. This circle offering is open to all expressions of gender.
This circle space is being offered within the context of ‘Raising the Vibrations’, an immersive art exhibition that explores the unseen frequencies of creativity, spirituality, and human connection. The event will take place within the exhibition space, but please note that in the interests of privacy and confidentiality the gallery will be closed to the public for the entire duration.
