Join Louise Whitham for an exciting and interactive workshop on watercolour techniques for beginners! Whether you’re a complete novice or have dabbled in water colours before, this event is perfect for you.
Bus Stop Studios is a creative and welcoming space, you’ll have access to all the necessary materials. Just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to explore the world of water colours! This event is a fantastic opportunity to practice Louise’s fun tips, meet fellow art enthusiasts, share ideas, and have fun.

By the end of the three sessions you will have learnt how to:
* Apply a variety of washes (flat, graduating
and variegated)
* Layer colour wet in wet and when dry
* Experiment with textures using masking
fluid, wax and clingfilm
* Mix and layer colour
* Learn the incredible wash out technique
This course is suitable for beginners as well as students who are working at an intermediate level.
This course will help you to learn new techniques, enjoy, experiment and have fun with this versatile medium.
Materials
Some watercolour paints and paper will be provided at the start of the course but students will need to buy their own later on.
You may want to invest in the following:
* Watercolour paints e.g. Winsor & Newton
Cotman watercolour student tube set or a
box (approx £15)
* Watercolour paper e.g. Cass Art 150-300g /
Daler Rowney Aquafine watercolour jumbo pad
300gms (£12 – £20)
* Brushes x 2: one soft round size 8-10, one
Daler Rowney Aquafine watercolour artist
brushes
* Also but not essential, Aquarelle Pencils
and Waterbrushes.
