Good day, I am trying to find more information about my ancestors: Edward Offen b.1788 Westfield m. 11/12/1811 to Harriet Pankhurst. Edward’s mother was Sarah Offin b.1770 in Westfield. His father is unknown and Edward also keeps his mother’s surname (so a small family scandal there!)
Her father was Henry Offin b. 1735 Westfield. And his father was Richard Offin (or Offing)b.1690 in either Westfield or Catsfield?
Please note that Offin and Offen are freely interchangeable (one sibling would be an Offin and another would be an Offen).
Can anyone help with additional info? or perhaps someone can let me know where the Westfield parish records are kept so that the next time I am in the UL I can have a look myself.

I’m descended from Edward too. They are a very prolific family!
Edward’s son Jesse is my great,great grandfather through his daughter,Ellen. This part of my family have always been interesting to me as I knew nothing of them until I started researching a couple of years ago.
There is an excellent website which has been created about the Offen family. It quotes from parish records and includes things like grave inscriptions for family members. Just put Jesse Offen into your search engine!
