Dorothy Mae Cruttenden

I am looking for any information on my grandmother Dorothy Mae Cruttenden born approx. 1987 or any relatives I may have in St. Leonard’s. She married John William (?) Anderson (a Canadian soldier) during the WWI and my father, Norman Edward Anderson was born in St. Leonard’s on Feb 22, 1919. She may of had a sister named Lillian.

    Hello Bev

There’s a birth registration for a Dorothy May Cruttenden in the September quarter 1897, Hastings district. At 1901 she was age 3 and living with parents Albert ( a coal merchant’s labourer) and Rose, and siblings Mabel 6,. Lily 5 and Harry E age 2 months and Rose’s mother Elizabeth Collins also in the household at 9 Union Row, Hastings.
In 1917(March quarter, Hastings district) Dorothy married William N Anderson.

    I hope this is helpful.
    Best wishes

Thanks for your info. I am still having problems. I can’t find any descendants of my grandmother’s siblings. I have paid money for no results. I want to visit England in a few years to find my relatives.

    Thanks again for your help.
