About Beltring, Kent

Beltring is a village situated within the Tonbridge and Malling district of Kent, England, forming part of the civil parish of East Peckham. It is notable for hosting the annual War and Peace Show at The Hop Farm Country Park, a significant event that draws visitors interested in military history and reenactments.

The Hop Farm Country Park, formerly owned by the Whitbread brewery, is now privately owned and is renowned for housing the world’s largest collection of oast houses. These distinctive buildings reflect the area’s historical connection to hop farming, a key industry in Kent.

Beltring once had its own railway station, Beltring & Branbridges Halt, which opened in 1909 on the Medway Valley Line, linking the village to the wider region. The village is surrounded by other Kentish communities such as Hadlow, East Peckham, and Yalding, placing it within a network of rural settlements rich in local heritage.
