The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is Kent’s mainline in miniature. First opened to traffic in July 1927 as the “World’s Smallest Public Railway” and now covering a distance of 13.5 miles from the picturesque cinque port of Hythe near the Channel Tunnel to the fisherman’s cottages and lighthouse at Dungeness.

Trains run every weekend in 2017 to celebrate our 90th Anniversary. Trains will also running daily between the end of March and beginning of November.

Santa Specials will be running from the end of November and throughout December.

Please visit our timetable page for more details and don’t forget to check-up on our up-and-coming events which often feature special timetables. A fantastic day out. Stations at Hythe, Dymchurch, New Romney, Romney Sands and Dungeness.
