About Longfield, Kent
Longfield is a village in the Borough of Dartford, Kent, situated six miles southeast of Dartford and the same distance southwest of Gravesend. The village has a rich history, recorded as Langanfelda in Saxon Charters and Langafel in the Domesday Book of 1086. It was once considered for development as a new town in the 1940s but remained a village.
