New Hythe Railway Station is a functional stop on the Medway Valley Line in Kent, primarily serving the village of New Hythe. Managed by Southeastern, the station features two platforms and operates with a typical off-peak schedule of two trains per hour to Strood and two to Paddock Wood via Maidstone West, with reduced services on Sundays. The station, originally opened in 1929 as New Hythe Halt, was built to accommodate workers at a nearby large paper mill. It was later upgraded in 1936 with more substantial facilities and electrified in 1939. Although the original ticket office, a 1930s structure, closed in 1989 and fell into disrepair, a ticket machine was installed in 2007. The station continues to play a vital role in local transit, facilitating commuter and local travel within the region.
