Pluckley Railway Station is a historical railway station located on the South Eastern Main Line, serving the village of Pluckley in Kent. Managed by Southeastern, the station features two staggered platforms connected by a footbridge, with the ‘up’ (London-bound) platform positioned mostly west of the eastbound platform. The station buildings, which have largely remained unchanged since their original construction, are situated on the eastbound platform.
The station was originally opened by the South Eastern Railway on 1 December 1842 to serve the local brick and tile works and later functioned as a freight depot. Although goods services ceased in 1965 and the signal box was decommissioned in 1967, the station continues to facilitate passenger services. It offers a typical off-peak hourly service to London Charing Cross and Ramsgate via Canterbury West, with additional services during peak hours. The ticket office operates part-time, supplemented by a ticket vending machine available at other times.
