Westenhanger Railway Station serves the villages of Westenhanger and Stanford in Kent, located on the South Eastern Main Line. Managed by Southeastern, the station features two platforms and offers services primarily operated using Class 375 EMUs. The typical off-peak service includes one train per hour (tph) to London Charing Cross via Tonbridge and one tph to Dover Priory, with additional services during peak hours to destinations including London Cannon Street, Ramsgate via Deal, and London Victoria.
The station, which opened on 7 February 1844, has a rich history including a period when it served as a junction for the branch line to Sandgate opened in 1864. It was also near the now-closed Folkestone Racecourse, and a separate station was built in 1898 to accommodate racegoers, though this facility closed in the 1960s.
Today, Westenhanger is an unstaffed station with limited facilities including a self-service ticket machine, passenger help points, and a small free car park. The station provides step-free access to the London-bound platform, but access to the Dover-bound platform requires crossing a footbridge.
