Whitstable Railway Station serves the town of Whitstable in Kent and is a key stop on the Ramsgate branch of the Chatham Main Line. Managed by Southeastern, the station is located 95.1 km down the line from London Victoria, nestled between the stations of Faversham and Chestfield & Swalecliffe. The current station, which opened on 1 January 1915, replaced an earlier station that had served the town since 1860.
The station is equipped with two platforms and offers a range of facilities including a staffed ticket office, a self-service ticket machine, passenger help points, toilets, and a waiting room available during staffed hours. For those travelling by car, there is a chargeable car park managed by Saba Parking, and for cyclists, there are cycle racks at the entrance. Although there is step-free access to both platforms from the street, the platforms themselves are connected by a stepped footbridge.
Bus connections are available nearby, providing links to the town centre, Chestfield, and Canterbury. The typical off-peak train service includes one train per hour (tph) to London St Pancras International, one tph to London Victoria, and two tph to Ramsgate, with additional services during peak hours.
