I also am researching my family history and my great grandfather lived at Hayes Cottages Beckley in the mid 1800s. I visited the cottages yesterday and took photos. Is this the same place as you are looking for?

I believe so – I have a Gun Licence dated 1906 addressed to my grandfather (or his father – they were both gamkeepers) at Heyes Cottage, Beckley.
