Crowhurst Recreation Ground is a designated Local Green Space that serves as a hub for sports and leisure activities within the community. The ground features a variety of sports pitches that are home to the Crowhurst Football Club, Cricket Club, and Stoolball Club. Additionally, there is a tennis court open for community use.
For families, the recreation ground offers a children’s play area, which is divided into sections for toddlers and juniors, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all ages. A recent addition is the picnic area, complete with a community orchard that was planted in 2022 as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
The site also includes the Cricket Pavilion, which houses facilities such as changing rooms with showers, toilets with accessible options, and a small kitchen. Though the kitchen is not equipped for cooking, it does provide kettles and some crockery. The pavilion also offers a small space suitable for meetings or social gatherings.
The recreation ground and its pavilion are available for booking, accommodating community events, sports matches, and private functions. This makes it a versatile location for various community-driven activities.
