As an ex pat living in Australia, I am researching my family tree and have discovered “we” were very prevalent in the Icklesham and surrounding areas, from John Cooper 1551 to Robert Chester cooper 1759-1803. It appears we left the area around this time for the Midlands but I do not know why or what occured around this time. If any historians could point me in the right directionj I would be most pleased. Thank You. Martin Cooper.
