Northiam’s Bonfire Procession will be leaving the Bonfire Field (on the A28 south of the village) at 7.30pm, processing into the village as far as Beales & Ewhurst Lanes, before returning to the bonfire field.
The Procession will include visiting Societies from across Sussex, each in their distinctive costumes and carrying flaming torches. Drumming groups will add to the drama.
Once back at the Field at approximately 8:30, the Bonfire will be lit, followed by our Firework Display.
There will be a bar, food and children’s amusements on the field which opens at 6.30pm.
Entry to the Field is just £2, but we hope you will want to give generously to the charity collectors along the way (rattling our distinctive purple buckets).
Road closures in effect from 6:30pm to 11pm (earlier if the Police agree).
There are no street lights in Northiam, so you are advised to bring a torch!
Any seller on the Main Street selling glowing products, is nothing to do with the Bonfire Society and we receive no money from them.
