I’m descended from Fairhall Bates (1734-1817) and Mary (Butler) Bates (1745 – 1774) Fairhall was baptized in Sandhurst and married Mary Butler in 1765. They lived in Peasemarsh and were farmers. Mary is buried in Peasemarsh. I’m wondering where I could obtain more information? Thanks for your help.
