Create, develop, and begin writing your own short story in this interactive workshop.
Joan Taylor-Rowan’s fiction has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4, placed in numerous competitions (including the Asham award, Cambridge short story prize, Spread theWord, and Mslexia) and published in magazines and anthologies. Her stories have also been selected for performance in London, Brighton and New York.
With writer Amanda Dormon, she performs her new fiction in a literary show called A Head Full of Stories which takes place in St Leonards, whenever they have enough new work to share! Joan has been teaching creative writing in St Leonards since 2016 and achieved an MA in Creative Writing (with Distinction) in 2021. Although she’s published a novel – The Birdskin Shoes – and flirted with flash fiction, the short story is her main squeeze.
