Halling Railway Station, located on the Medway Valley Line in Kent, serves as a key transport link for the area. Managed by Southeastern, the station features two platforms and operates with a DfT category F2 classification. The station was originally opened on 1 March 1890 and has since been a vital stop along the route from London Charing Cross to various destinations via Strood.
The station is equipped with a PERTIS (Permit to Travel) ticket machine, installed in 2007, to facilitate travel arrangements for passengers. Although the original ticket office on the northbound platform closed in September 1989 and the building has seen various uses, it currently stands disused.
Halling Railway Station offers a typical off-peak service of two trains per hour (tph) to Strood and two tph to Paddock Wood via Maidstone West, with additional services extending to Tonbridge during peak times. On Sundays, the service frequency is reduced to hourly in each direction. This station is an essential part of the local transport infrastructure, providing connectivity within Kent and towards London.
