I am a descendent of Rev. William Ralfe, b1743, younger brother of James and ThomasWilliam Married Annabella Gauntlet and had four sons, namely William, Henry, Charles and James. William, a naval surgeon had James and Robert who both emigrated to Natal in 1850. Any information you have on the family between 1740 and 1850 would be much appreciated. With many thanks Robert.

My husband is descendant from the NZ Ralfe branch. Three siblings ended up in NZ in the 1800’s: Pilcher, John and Catherine children of Lt. Pilcher Ralfe and his wife Anne LaMothe. Descended from James Ralfe 1698-1700 and his wife Elizabeth Bird and their son Lt. Thomas Ralfe 1739-1772.
