Kemsing Railway Station, located near the village of Kemsing in Kent, is a functional part of the UK’s railway network, managed by Southeastern. The station, which opened on 1 June 1874, originally served as a stop on the Maidstone Line from Swanley to Maidstone. Today, it offers daily services, including one train per hour (tph) to London Victoria and one tph to Ashford International, with no services on Sundays except on bank holidays.
The station itself is unstaffed and has been since 1985, following the demolition of its original buildings. Facilities for passengers include a self-service ticket machine, shelters on both platforms, information screens, and modern help points. There is also a small car park available at the station entrance. For those needing further travel options, local buses are accessible a short distance away. The station’s proximity to the M26 motorway makes it a convenient point for commuters and travellers heading towards London or deeper into Kent.
