Longfield Railway Station, situated on the Chatham Main Line, serves the villages of Longfield, Hartley, and New Ash Green. This station, managed by Southeastern, is located 37.6 km from London Victoria and lies between Farningham Road and Meopham stations. Longfield Railway Station was originally opened in June 1872 and has undergone several changes since, including a rebuild after a fire around 1900 and a renaming from ‘Longfield for Fawkham & Hartley’ to simply ‘Longfield’ by the end of the 1960s.

The station features two platforms and offers a range of services operated by Southeastern using Class 375, 465, and 466 EMUs. The typical off-peak service includes two trains per hour (tph) to London Victoria, one tph to Gillingham, and one tph to Dover Priory via Canterbury East. Additional services are available during peak hours, and on Sundays, there is an hourly service between Dover Priory and London Victoria via Denmark Hill. The station’s design and services cater to the needs of commuters and local residents, reflecting its growth and development over the years.
