I have just found that a relative lived in Northiam in the 1960s. Her name was Charlotte Ruby Birch and she died in 1965, aged 75. Her husband was Henry William Birch, a police inspector. The address I have is Strawberry Hole, which according to my map appears to be either a cottage or a large house.
