Ham Street Railway Station, a Grade II listed building, serves the village of Hamstreet in Kent. Managed by Southern, this station is a stop on the Marshlink line between Ashford International and Hastings. The station, which opened on 13 February 1851, was originally built by the South Eastern Railway and designed by the company architect William Tress.
The station features two platforms and offers typical off-peak hourly services to Eastbourne via Hastings and to Ashford International. The station building houses a booking office open on weekday mornings, and both platforms are equipped with Ticket Vending Machines that replaced the older PERTIS machines. These allow passengers to purchase tickets from any origin, not just from Ham Street.
Safety improvements have been made over the years, including the replacement of a level crossing with a temporary footbridge in 2014, which was later replaced by a permanent bridge in 2017 to enhance passenger safety.
